Syria. A country I have only visited twice, though I’d love to go there again and again. And again. A country that fascinated me at first sight and never stopped. Simple people, honest people, so different than in Europe. And monuments of which we Europeans can only dream. And at the same time a country I may never be able to visit again, a country torn with a desperate civil war, a pawn in a play by the powers of this world. And the pictures which were meant to be keepsakes and a way to register beauty but became documents. A painful document . All of them are gumprints in limited series of 15 numbered and signed copies.
