Gniew – beauty unknown

Gniew is a little town with a big history. And I mean a really big history. Once an important castle and administration centre for Teutonic Knights, once the place where Polish king would leave his wife for protection during wars, once the seat of regional administrators. Now, a lovely, sleepy little town, a town with history that charmed me like it charms many others before me. A town hugely pictureaque, a dream location both for landscape and townscape photography ith the nearby Vistula and Wierzyca rivers.
