Ever since I got hold of an old Soviet made Zenit camera at the age of 13, photography has constantly been my passion. A camera has accompanied me most of my life naturally becoming not just a passion but a profession as well, though the worn out Zenit was replaced by digital SLRs and LF cameras.
I currently specialize in artistic nude photography, both done digitally and with traditional photographic methods. My other specialty are historical photographic process with gumprint, oilprint and platinum print being my favourits. I regularly use processes such as wetplate collodion, POP, saltprint and albumen print as well as platinum print. I have also written a bestselling studio nude photography textbook “Fotografia Obnażona” published by Helion and a series of books devoted to historical photographic processes. They are currently being translated and published in English.
I have also been involved in a number of reconstructional projects in cooperation with cultural institutions. I currently occupy the post of head teacher in The Tricity School of Photography (www.tsf.edu.pl) and am responsible for researching historical techniques and materials for Alternative Photographic Supplies. I also offer workshop focussing on historical processes in the Alternative Photographic Supplies Training Centre.
I have been awarded the scholarship for creators of culture twice.
In 2019 I became a proud member of the Polish Union of Art Photographers.
